BBIIAANNCCOO, Davide Bianchera’s solo project, combines electronic music, field recordings, samples, electronic drums and the frequencies of the electric bass. The sound unfolds as a flow in which ambient moments and more experimental passages coexist, giving way to hypnotic yet deconstructed rhythmic passages. Having made his debut in 2023 with the EP HABITAT, followed in 2024 by HABITAT rmx and in 2025 by the soundtrack created with IRON CVLT for the centenary of the film THE LOST WORLD (directed by Harry Hoyt), BBIIAANNCCOO’s journey enters a new phase of evolution with the album GARDEN 22:44.

GARDEN 22:44 began as a genuine collective endeavour, a sonic mosaic in which fragmentation becomes unity. Producer BBIIAANNCCOO invited seven musicians — STROMBOLI, LORIS CERICOLA, TYL, DESTROY DUBAI, IRON CVLT, ELLEFFESSE and GIORGIO MONTEBELLO—to send him a very brief sound fragment inspired by ‘kaos’ and ‘kosmos’: a sample, a riff, a loop, an electronic sequence or a simple acoustic gesture lasting just a few seconds.

BBIIAANNCCOO used these brief initial ideas as a starting point to develop and structure fully-fledged, stand-alone songs. Each track thus becomes a unique sonic microcosm, where the original impulse is not merely inserted, but deconstructed and made to interact with the new composition. The result is an organic work which, whilst developing tracks with a complete and complex structure, retains the energy, soul and personality of the fragment from which it sprang.

As Fritjof Capra writes in his book “The Systems View of Life“, order emerges from disorder and matter manifests itself as a network of relationships”: in the same way, in “GARDEN 22:44”, the sounds come to life only through their interaction, building a musical ecosystem in constant motion.

This ecosystem finds its fullest expression in the album’s final track, “LOOP POOL”, where all the samples, riffs and clips sent in by the seven musicians are combined within a palindromic structure. Halfway through the track, in fact, the sound loops back on itself, retracing its steps until it reconnects with the very beginning, uniting all the sounds of the album into one great circle.

Allowing himself to be carried away by listening to the tracks, the artist Federico Benazzi created the album cover with complete freedom, without any guidance. A visual gesture that springs directly from the musical experience.

VIDEOCLIP

At a time when Artificial Intelligence dominates the scene, BBIIAANNCCOO chose the path of pure craftsmanship, personally overseeing every detail of the music video for “MANDÍBULA”. All the figures and creatures featured in the video were hand-modelled from wire, whilst for the backgrounds he involved his nine-year-old son, Emilio, in exploring surfaces through a children’s microscope.

Assembled frame by frame using stop-motion animation, the video is a visual journey rich in symbolism, permeated by a subtle tension that resonates throughout, leaving the door open to all manner of interpretation. As in the album GARDEN 22:44, here too small fragments are gathered, transformed and linked together, giving rise to a universe in which seemingly disparate elements coexist and intersect.

An ever-changing ecosystem takes shape, where chaos is not necessarily something to be reordered, but a substance to be cultivated. Every form, movement and surface contributes to the birth of this microcosm, leaving it to the viewer to perceive these frequencies and forge their own connections.

A deliberately analogue work, created using simple materials, observation, patience and manual manipulation: a small world built frame by frame.
